Last updated: 25 September 2025

Welcome to Mesh Together (“Mesh Together”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mesh Together mobile applications and the website at https://meshtogether.app (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” also refers to that organization.

1. Who we are & how to contact us

You agree that we may contact you by email or through in-app notices for service announcements and administrative messages.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Services only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

  • Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
  • One person per account: Do not share your account with others.
  • Username/Display name: Must not impersonate others or violate rights.

We may refuse account creation or reclaim usernames if necessary (e.g., to prevent impersonation).

  • Offline capture with sync when online
  • View, replay, and export meshed memories

You agree not to do any of the following:

  • Illegal or harmful content: Upload or share content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, harassing, exploitative, or that violates privacy or publicity rights.

  • Impersonation: Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend/terminate accounts for violations.

6. Your content

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of the videos, images, text, and other materials you submit (collectively, “User Content”).

6.2 License to Mesh Together

To operate the Services, you grant Mesh Together a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license to host, store, cache, process, adapt (e.g., transcode, compress, create thumbnails), reproduce, and display your User Content solely to provide, maintain, operate, and improve the Services (including enabling invited participants to view/contribute to shared memories and enabling exports you request).

This license ends when your content is deleted from our active systems, subject to reasonable technical limitations and backup retention (see Data retention in the Privacy Policy).

6.3 Your responsibilities

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have all rights necessary to grant the above license.
  • Your User Content, and your use of it with the Services, does not violate law or others’ rights.
  • You have obtained any necessary permissions (e.g., from people appearing in your videos or owners of locations where filming occurs).

6.4 Feedback

If you submit feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation.

7. Content moderation

We are not obligated to monitor all content, but we may review, remove, or disable access to content at our discretion (e.g., upon receiving a complaint or if content likely violates these Terms or law). We may also report content to competent authorities where required.

8. App permissions & device requirements

The app may request access to camera, microphone, photos/media, notifications, and network to function. You can revoke permissions in device settings, but certain features may stop working.

You are responsible for obtaining compatible hardware, devices, and internet access. Carrier data charges may apply.

9. Software; mobile stores

The app is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms, Mesh Together grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial use.

If you downloaded the app from Apple App Store or Google Play:

  • Apple: These Terms are between you and Mesh Together; Apple is not a party. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support. In the event of a failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the app or your use. You represent that you are not in a country subject to U.S. embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting,” and that you are not on any U.S. government denied list.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy located at /privacy, which explains how we collect, use, and disclose information, including for the website (analytics/cookies) and the app (content, diagnostics). By using the Services, you consent to our data practices as described there.

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe content infringes your copyright, please submit a detailed notice to support@meshtogether.app with:

  1. Your contact information;

  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location;
  4. A statement of good-faith belief and accuracy under penalty of perjury; and
  5. Your signature (physical or electronic).

We may remove or disable access to content alleged to be infringing and may terminate repeat infringers.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately (with or without notice) if you violate these Terms, risk harm to others, or where we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Services at any time. Upon termination, the license granted to you ends, but the following sections survive: 6 (Your content—license for backups until deletion completes), 10–20, and any other provisions intended to survive.

14. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services or legal requirements. We will post the updated Terms with a “Last updated” date and, when changes are material, provide additional notice (e.g., in-app or on the website). Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
